Homer Van Meter, born in Fort Wayne, driver for John Dillinger, the bank robber born in Indianapolis, Public Enemy #1 wanted by the FBI, Clifford "Whitey" Mohler (1903-1968) an early accomplice, Samuel Goldstine (1890-1975) all are buried in Indiana - Clifford "Whitey" Mohler an early accomplice died August 25, 1968 and is buried in Prairie Grove Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
