Homesteaders of Allen County, Indiana

The Allen County Genealogical Society of Indiana is sponsoring a "Homesteaders of Allen County, Indiana" recognition certificate. If you are a direct descendant of a pioneer who settled in Allen County between January 1, 1851 and December 31, 1875, you have the opportunity to join. Proof of descent will be required. Applicants do not need to live in Indiana.

A printed application form and instructions will be forwarded upon request. Please included a large (# 10) self-addressed, stamped envelope. Mail your request to ACGSI, ATTN: Homesteaders, P.O. Box 12003, Fort Wayne IN 46862.

Applications are being accepted now. A fee of $10.00 must accompany your completed form and documentation. A Homesteaders of Allen County, Indiana certificate will be awarded to each accepted applicant at the dinner meeting of the ACGSI each June. The eligibility deadline for applications is March 31.
