The following are volunteer projects of the society:

• Collecting genealogical documentation of the first families and pioneer families of Allen County
• Copying Allen County Court House Records
• Indexing the 1910 Allen County (Indiana) Census
• Photocopying Fort Wayne (Indiana) Church Records
• Presenting genealogical programs and speakers
• Providing the Allen County Public Library with volunteers
• Publishing Allen County Lines
• Publishing Allen County records on the ACGSI website
• Publishing the Allen County History Book in cooperation with The History Center/Allen County-Fort Wayne Historical Society
• Sponsoring national teleconferences
• Supporting restoration efforts at the Brown Family Cemetery in Monroe Township
