Family Tree Maker Users Group

Family Tree Maker logo

The Family Tree Maker Users group is open to everyone who would like to learn and share about using genealogy software. The group is not limited to just Family Tree Maker but is open to users of any genealogy software. There is no cost and no registration is required.

Each attendee is invited to bring their laptop with Family Tree maker or other type of genealogy software installed. Make sure that your laptop is charged since there are limited electrical outlets.

Each session will be a hands-on experience. There will be demonstrations of how to enter data and the proper way of entering dates, names, occupations, and locations. Sessions will include learning how to enter information from personal records and also how to search for information on the Internet. Also included will be organizing one's data and writing it for publications or sharing with family and friends.

The Family Tree Maker Users Group meets for one hour, beginning at 2:15 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. The meetings are held in The Genealogy Center in the Allen County Public Library in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. Food and beverages are not permitted in The Genealogy Center.
