• 16 Jul 1872 It will be remembered by our citizens that Charles Dagitz, a well-known tobacconist and foreman of the Mechanics Fire Company of this city, was recently arrested on the charge of bastardy and that he compromised the suit by marrying the woman whom he had wronged.
