• 23 Feb 1897 Judgment against the defendant for $200 has been entered in the case of the state in relation of Catherine Didierjohn against Michael Greeney, bastardy.

• 14 Nov 1897 Fannie Grindelsbarger filed charges of bastardy. (See 16 Nov 1897.)
• 16 Nov 1897 Frank White was arrested on charge of bastardy preferred by Jennie Kindelsparger.

• 23 Dec 1897 Sherman Keys, colored porter at the Wayne hotel barbershop, was arrested yesterday by Deputy Sheriff Stout on a warrant in which he is charged with bastardy by Minnie Bradshaw. Keys was arrested some time ago, but escaped from the constable and remained out of the city until a few days ago. He was taken to the jail and will be arraigned this morning.
