THE PROCESSION.
Shortly after nine o'clock in the morning the procession started from the Wayne hotel for the site of the Old Fort. It was formed in the following order:
Chief of Police, Diehl, with a platoon of policemen.
City Band,
Fort Wayne Rifles.
Zollinger Battery--in three sections.
Soldiers and Veterans.
Our Distinguished Guests in Carriages.
Old Settlers and Citizens. When the procession came to the Old Fort the staff-flag was unfurled and saluted by the Riverside Bugle corps, and by a presidential salute of twenty-one guns from the battery, fired under the direction of Captain Eastwood; the dipping of colors being manipulated by Kit Carson. A miniature representation of the Old Fort as it stood in 1794, constructed some years ago, by an old citizen of Fort Wayne, named I. Bush, who died some years since, had been brought out from the shelter in which he had stored it, and set up so as to enclose the flag-staff on the site where the old fort stood. It is very neatly designed and served as nothing else could, to give a realistic conception of the defensive work within which our soldiers and pioneers found shelter these early times.

In the article she regrets not finding Chief Little Turtle's grave that was located and announced a few months later on July 4, 1912.
In his book, "Pictorial History of Fort Wayne," Bert Griswold quoted Mrs. Adam Link, who owned the daguerreotype in 1917, and cited her account of the picture.

OLD FORT WAYNE DRAWN AFTER THE MODEL OF ISAAC BUSH
This view is a pen drawing of old Fort Wayne in the latter days of its existence, prepared from infornation gathered by the late Iaac Bush. Mr. Bush, as a boy, lived in one of the last remaining buildings of the old fort. Increasing interest in the historic structure grew with the passage of the years, and he gathered all available information from those who remembered the architectural form of the buildings which were standing in the early thirties when the construction of the Wabash and Erie Canal necessitated the removal of a portion of the fort. This knowledge Mr. Bush put into definite form in the building of a model of the fort about the year 1870. At that time he engaged the services of Frank Kincaid, a carpenter, and the latter constructed the model after the plans as prepared by Mr. Bush.I remember this model very well, says Mrs. E. K. Bush, daughter-in-law of Isaac Bush.It was about twenty feet square and hundreds of people came to see it when it was placed on exhibition near the Baker homestead on Delaware Avenue. The model was preserved for many years and formed an interesting part of he exhibition at the Centennial celebration of 1895. I don't know what came of it.Four photographic views of the model were made. One of the original negatives is the property of the Parrot studio. The view which was used for reference in making the above drawing was loaned by Mrs. Martha B. Hanna.
Several images in postcards and even the Harman Park Anthony Wayne Statue plaque appear to be one of the four photographic views of the 1870 Bush model at the Parrot studio.
