Clara Crawford is proven and is my paternal grandmother, born 1860 in Allen Co., Indiana or Hardin Co., Ohio. She died young in 1908 in Whitley Co., IN. She is buried in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I found Clara and Benjamin Franklin Harris on the 1900 Whitley County census. My question: why did he use his middle name of Franklin Harris. I thought you had to use a given name? Are they the same person? I found a Franklin Harris on census in DeKalb County as a child in 1860, but I can not connect any of his siblings or parents names. Confused. |
