| Query: | Trying to locate gravesites for George & Mary Wyer (Wyre) who came to the area between 1850 and 1860. They apparently lived on a farm in the SW corner of Section 20, Monroe Township. Their oldest son, David, seemed to be prominent. He married Sarah Ann Fleck (in Ohio) and had 10 kids - he's buried at Flat Rock Evangelical Lutheran in East Liberty. George's daughter Mary Jane married Isaiah Magner. Both are buried at Monroeville IOOF. George very likely died in 1872 (no records) and Mary died on 16 Sep 1885 - only record being a VERY short blurb in the Monroeville Breeze. I have researched extensively at Ft. Wayne library etc - no luck. |
