| Query: | I am trying to confirm the death date & location, and burial location of Joseph Smith Benward, born abt Apr 1833 in Pennsylvania to Isaac Benward & Elizabeth Strouse. Joseph died abt (May?) 1905 in either Huntington or Ft. Wayne area, IN. His wife, Mary Ann Bennett (1832-1919) died in Ft. Wayne and is buried at Eel River Cemetery in Allen Co., IN, per her death certificate. Mary's parents (William & Margaret Bennett) are buried there, and Joseph & Mary Benward's children are buried there, but there are no tombstones for Joseph or Mary Benward. They all lived in Eel River Twp., Allen Co., IN for many years. Any documented information very welcome. Does anyone know if the Eel River church has burial records from 1900-1910? Thank you. |
