| Query: | It is said that from approx. 1837 to 1840, Henry Tapscott, his wife Susan Bass, and their five children (William, John, James W., Thomas, Nancy) lived in or near Ft. Wayne on the way from Green Co. KY to Clark Co. IL. While in Allen Co. IN they may have had 3 children: Jacob, Sarah Ann, and Frances Ann. I am seeking proof for this (land purchases, birth records, etc.). by 1840 they were in Clark Co., but some may have returned briefly around 1864. |
