πŸš’ Gaining Entry the Smart Way! πŸ”

On Monday, East Central firefighters took their skills to the next level at the Angola Fire Training Center, participating in a "Through-the-Lock" (aka Respectful Entry) class led by BC Decker. This specialized training allows us to access homes and businesses without resorting to traditional forcible entryβ€”saving property from unnecessary damage while ensuring we can assist those in need.

Whether it’s a lift assist or a minor medical call, when there’s no lock box or garage code available, we now have another tool in our toolbox to safely and efficiently enter a secured space. Just another way we’re always looking out for our community! πŸ”‘πŸ”₯

Last night crews from East Central responded as a mutual aid response. Units from EC were Fire 126-who assisted with Water Supply

Tankers 14,44,124, and 164 all responded and made several shuttles to the scene for water. In rural areas where no hydrants are close, these tankers dump water into a dump tank and another fire truck drafts/vacuums the water out of the portable tank on the ground. In a fire of this size numerous tankers are necessary to sustain continuous extinguishment.
