Masons gathered granite boulders from fields hundreds of miles away to be used in the construction of this magnificent home which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection is a joint venture between the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis and the Allen County Public Library with over 21,000 digital documents online. Some Exhibit items are in Indianapolis with most of the collection available by appointment in Fort Wayne. A Lincoln Collection Facebook post December 10, 2012 states: Researchers and Lincoln enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to visit the Lincoln Library at Allen County Public Library. You can ask to see specific items, or you can take a tour of the collection. Individual and group tours are available. The Lincoln Library is open to the public by appointment from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information or to make an appointment, email jgastineau@acpl.info.
